Ahsan Iqbal rules out any intervention before 2018

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has ruled out any intervention before 2018.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that some people become politicians after doffing their uniform.

“A few retired generals teach us what politics should be. These people also incite the Army to unconstitutional steps,” he maintained.

He said that the parliament will complete its tenure on June 4, 2018 and the elections will be held in August 2018.

The minister said that the people hoping for unconstitutional steps will fail.

“The armed forces have announced complete affiliation with the constitution and democracy,” he added.
