Rallies held in New York against the recent anti Muslim violence in New Delhi

WASHINGTON - In the United States, rallies were held in New York, Washington, Chicago and other cities to protest against the recent anti-Muslim violence in Indian capital New Delhi.

The protesters demanded repeal of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act that had sparked violence against minorities in the country.

They also highlighted the BJP government's "fascist" ideologies targeting religious minorities especially Muslims.

Meanwhile, 42 people have been killed and hundreds injured in New Delhi violence so far.
