UNSC extends South Sudan sanctions through mid-July

UNITED NATIONS: The U.N. Security Council has extended the sanctions on South Sudan for 45 days through mid-July and demanded a cessation of hostilities.

The resolution said if the country’s conflict does not stop by 30th June, the council would consider freezing the assets and banning travel for six officials, including Defense Minister Kuol Manyang Juuk. APP
