Pakistan HC to India welcomes re-activation of PMSA-ICG dialogue

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood says recent dialogue between the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and Indian Coast Guard will contribute to the efforts underway for bilateral cooperation.
He expressed these views during the visit of Director General Maritime Security Agency Rear Admiral Zaka Ur Rehman to New Delhi.
Sohail Mahmood hoped that this fruitful interaction between the two institutions would help alleviate sufferings of the fishermen, strengthen mutual collaboration in search-and-rescue, and foster enhanced cooperation between the two sides with regard to response to pollution and natural calamities.
The last meeting between the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and Indian Coast Guard was held in Islamabad in July 2016.
