A suicide car bomber detonated his explosives close to the Jalalabad airport in eastern Nangarhar province early Thursday, local officials said.
The bomber detonated his explosives at a check point in the city killing a soldier and wounding another, a spokesman for the provincial governor, Attaullah Khoghyani said.
However, he did not provide more details about the attack.
