N candidate Rana Iqbal Siraj retracts earlier statement, says irrigation department people harassed him

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) candidate in Multan, Rana Iqbal Siraj, denied the circumstances of the incident that happened at his warehouse. Siraj, in a video message on Saturday night, stated that the incident was a result of a misunderstanding.
Siraj clarified in the video message that people from Irrigation Department had visited him at the warehouse.
On Saturday, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif said that the party candidates contesting in general elections were allegedly threatened. Referring to Siraj, Nawaz said that he was slapped and threatened with terrible consequences.
Sharif stated that all the cannons are pointed at PML-N, he warned, such acts would be harmful to the country.
PML-N leader demanded interim Prime Minister (PM) Nasirul Mulk and chief election commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan to take notice of such incidents.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz also said that PML-N members were being targetted.
