China yet again proves to be everlasting friend of Pakistan in time of need

ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday said that China practically gave proof of its everlasting friendship with Pakistan, and a new chapter of companionship between both countries will be written.
FM Qureshi stated while speaking on the ceremony, in which, the Chinese ambassador formally handed over the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine to him at the Noor Khan Airbase as the doses reached Pakistan from China.
The minister said that China donated five hundred thousand vaccine doses to Pakistan and is supporting us in steps to counter the pandemic. The Chinese ambassador said that Pakistan is first country to which China has donated vaccines.
Earlier, Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the province had received a share of 70,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine from the federal government.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, she said that the vaccine was being shifted to Lahore from Rawalpindi and it would be shifted to Cold Chain Warehouse in Manga Mandi.
She said it was their priority to vaccinate the health workers. "The process to administer the vaccine will be started in a couple of days," she added.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said that currently smart lockdown had been enforced at 18 places. She urged the people to follow the anti-coronavirus SOPs.
She said that all healthcare and senior citizens would be vaccinated in 4-5 months.
