Information minister urges media persons to project Pakistan's soft image

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has urged the journalists community to play a constructive role in highlighting national identity of Pakistan.

Addressing oath taking ceremony of local press club body in Hafizabad on Wednesday afternoon, she said journalists have a crucial a role in the war against terrorism.

She said terrorism has been controlled and dismantled due to sacrifices of people, armed forces and law enforcement agencies.

She said peace and security has been restored in the country due to effective policies of the PML-N government.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said investment of fifty billion dollars has been ensured in shape of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Project. She said CPEC is a great gift of China to Pakistan.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister for National Health Services, Saira Afzal Tarar said Pakistan is recognized as a peaceful country and emerging economy.
