Pakistan protests US drone attack in upper Kurram agency

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has strongly protested the drone attack carried out by the United States on a house in Ghoz Ghari, Upper Kurram Agency on Thursday.

No human loss was reported till the filing of this report. Sources said that three missiles were fired in the drone attack.

Sources said that a done attack was carried out in the area sometime back. The security forces had launched an operation in the area and seized a huge quantity of weapons. Later, the area was declared clear.

Foreign Office spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal strongly condemned the attack. “There is a clear chasm between the thinking of the US and Pakistan and we are trying to reduce it,” he said.

He said that they had received a reply to the Pakistan offer allowing Kulbhushan Jhadv’s wife to meet him.

The spokesman expressed his concern over Indian testing of a cruise missile and termed it a threat to regional peace and stability.
