Iran's Navy unveils new indigenous systems  

TEHRAN: (APP/) The Iranian Navy has unveiled new domestic achievements in another display of the country's naval defense capabilities.

Iranian Army's Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Abdolrahim Mousavi attended the ceremony held at Research and Self-Sufficiency Organization of the Iranian Army to unveil Navy's new achievements.

The military achievements included "Towing Tank Project" which is to design and construct Towing Tank for dynamic testing of floating model, the "Samen Project", first sea-based air and surface fire control system which is to design and construct air and surface fire-control systems of rocket launchers and Jamaran Class destroyers and "LPI radar system" which can operate in electronic warfare environments.

"Sea Shield Radar Project" to optimize and fix the bugs of Sea Shield Radar System, "Mersad Project" to construct digital stabilization of Mark 46 torpedo and "Damavand Project" were among other achievements unveiled in the presence of Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Navy's Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Gholam-Reza Khadem Bigham and a number of senior commanders of the armed forces.

The unveiling ceremony opened on the occasion of Iran's Navy Day celebrated on November 28.
