FBR achieves 96% of July revenue target

ISLAMABAD - Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi on Wednesday said that the FBR has collected Rs 278 billion in taxes in the month of July, the first month of fiscal year 2019-20.
Shabbar Zaidi said that the government had originally fixed revenue collection target at Rs 291 billion for the first month of fiscal year 2019-20.
He further said that the government has achieved 96 percent target of revenue collection in the month of July.
