Sources have revealed that reportedly the Saudi Arabia government also offered some monetary support in this regard.

According to the report, the Saudi envoy gave his government’s message to the PTI chief suggesting that Nawaz should be sent abroad for medical treatment before Imran’s oath-taking ceremony.

After Nawaz’s departure, Maryam will also be released from the jail and sent abroad on humanitarian grounds, the newspaper reported.

Imran Khan, however, rejected the suggestion stating that if Saudi Arabia can bring back its trillions of dollars from abroad then why it is stopping Pakistan from doing the same.

The report further claimed that earlier caretaker government was contacted in this regard but it shifted all burden to the PTI-led new government and Imran Khan completely rejected the proposal.

The report also mentioned that the American lobbying firm, hired by Nawaz Sharif, has told US government that the former PM faced difficulties after his interview with Cyril Almedia and if he is not supported now, America will not find another political figure for support in the country.
