Rangers Powers Extension: The inside tale

KARACHI: (APP) Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah first day in office turned out to be an eventful day as the office staff witnesses CM Sindh arriving in the office at sharp 9 o clock in the morning with much less security and VIP protocol.

Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah signed summary seeking extension in special policing powers of Rangers in the province.

Rangers powers have been extended for three months while their stay in Sindh for a year.

The Chief Minister has ordered Home Department to issue formal notification of the extension without any delay.

The development has come in a day after former president and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party signaled greenlight to the extension of paramilitary force’s stay.

The Chief Minister was directed by the party leadership in a meeting in Dubai to formally give a nod to the Rangers who are constitutionally deployed in Sindh by the federation.
