ISLAMABAD: (APP) Pakistan is one of the most affected countries of the world from the Climate Change. A recent research study reveals that Pakistan is among the top ten countries of the world that are worst affected by the Climate change impacts.
In order to assess and find out the remedy for the climate change negative impacts a meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change chaired by Hafez-ur-Rehman Khan Drishak was held in Islamabad on Monday.
The Committee discussed the measures taken by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to prevent flood damages.
Officials of Ministry of Climate Change briefed the committee on Chinese model to manage and use flood water for economic and environmental benefits.
Pakistan is likely to follow the Chinese model for prevention from the deadly effects of the floods that are occurring more frequently due to the global warming and the climate changes.
