CPEC: Pakistan - China Naval Collaboration for the defence of Gwadar Port 

KARACHI: (APP) Pakistan and China are collaborating in Naval defence of the Gwadar Port which is the starting point of the multi billions dollar project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC.

China is collaborating with Pakistan Navy in various projects which includes Naval Submarines, Naval Ships and Vessels for the maritime defence of the Pakistan.

Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique has lauded China's cooperation in strengthening Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) to provide security to Gwadar Port.

He expressed these views while speaking at launching ceremony of second Maritime Patrol Ship "BASOL" for PMSA at Chinese city of Liuzhou.

Vice Admiral Hasham said this security cooperation between Pakistan and China in naval sector is not for peace time only, but China will continue to strengthen Pakistan Navy.

He said capability enhancement of PMSA is also now essential to secure Pakistani waters around Gwadar Port in the wake of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
