Cambridge International Examination announces final date for the O and A level exams in Pakistan

The dates for the O-Level and A-Level examinations in Pakistan for the May/June session have been announced by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

According to a notification shared by the British Council of Cambridge International, the A-Level and AS Level examinations will be conducted as per the schedule, starting from 26 April onward, and the O-Level and IGCSE examinations will start from 10 May onward. ------------------------------

The British Council stated that it “understands the concerns surrounding Cambridge International Exams”.

It added, “As a delivery partner of Cambridge we are committed to supporting Pakistani students as well as abiding by current Government of Pakistan policy and directives in this regard”.

The statement assured the students that the British Council, Cambridge, and the Government of Pakistan are in regular contact and that they are closely monitoring the developing situation in the country. ------------------------------

The development came after the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, declared that the CEO Cambridge, Christine Ozden, had requested for the O-Level/IGCSE examinations to start from 10 May instead of 15 May, to which the government had agreed after consultations with the provincial governments and concerned stakeholders.
