Religious scholars laud role of armed forces, masses in defeating menace of terrorism

Representatives and scholars of different religions and religious sects have lauded the endeavours of armed forces and people of Pakistan in defeating the menace of terrorism.
A joint declaration was released in this regard after a joint setting arranged by Muttahida Ulema Board Punjab in collaboration with Pakistan Ulema Council, in Islamabad.
The sitting was presided over by Chairman Muttahida Ulema Board and Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi.
The declaration condemned the prevailing western rhetoric of Islamophobia and said that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony.
