Russia Test-launches Sarmat Missile
MOSCOW: Russian defiance ministry test-launched the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile on from Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia's North.
The official statement from the defiance ministry said the test was aimed at studying the characteristics and behaviour of the missile during launch.
The Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile system recently featured in Russian President Vladimir Putin's annual address to the general assembly in early March.
The President showcased the missile system as the centerpiece of Russia's renewed military superiority.
