PM criticizes cases against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shahdi Khaqan Abbasi has criticized the trial of his predecessor Nawaz Sharif saying those who work for resolving public problems are being dragged into courts.
He said political decisions are made at the polling stations not in the courts.
The Prime Minister was addressing the inaugural ceremony of two major roads in Dera Ghazi Khan.
He said Nawaz Sharif has always made efforts for resolution of the problems facing the country and its people but hurdles were put in these endeavors.
The Prime Minister said we always respected judiciary and will continue to do so.
He said no country can progress without political stability and public trust in their government.
Shahid Khaqan Ababsi also criticized the senate elections. He said some people compromised their integrity for personal gains.
The Prime Minister said he will continue to raise his voice against this corrupt practice in senate elections until the politics is get rid off such elements.
He said the PML-N did not use a single penny in the senate elections and never tried to get undue favor.
Taking a dig at PPP Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, the Premier said everyone knows what Zardari did with Pakistan. He said the people sent Zardari home in 2013.
PM Abbasi also said that the government of PML-N improved the situation of gas in the country.
He said he gas connections increased by 50% in last five years.
He said currently, gas projects worth 200 billion rupees are under being constructed.
The Prime Minister remarked that the PML-N does not believe in the politics of hurling abuses at the opponents and will go the polls on the basis of its performance.
