Neelum-Jhelum first unit to supply power by April 13

ISLAMABAD:The first unit of nine hundred and sixty nine megawatts of Neelum Jhelum hydropower project in Azad Jammu and Kashmir will start supplying four hundred and seventy megawatts of electricity to the national grid next month.
According to official sources, water filling in head race tunnel has already been commenced, followed by wet commissioning test in order to start generation.
Meanwhile, annual benefits of the project have been estimated to fifty billion rupees.
