Former CCPO Lahore house looted in DHA

LAHORE: Gunmen took away cash, jewllery and other valuables worth Rs3.6 million from the house of former capital city police officer (CCPO) Malik Iqbal in Defence on Saturday.
They broke into the upper portion of the house and thrashed the mother-in-law of Malik Iqbal’s son for resistance, a police official said.
According to the police official, security guards were present outside the residence when the robbery occurred. No CCTV cameras are installed in and around the residence.
The police collected samples for forensic analysis and started investigation into the crime.
