Karachi University teachers arrested for suspicious acts

KARACHI: Two teachers of Karachi University were detained by law enforcement agencies on Saturday, before they were reportedly about to conduct a press conference.
The teachers are affiliated with Karachi University, Dr Riaz and Dr Meher Afroz. They were arrested by law enforcement personnel near Karachi Press Club, where they were to address a press conference today.
MQM London’s Nadeem Nusrat denied their alleged affiliation with the party. Nusrat stated that the teachers were not workers or party members affiliated with MQM London and said that they were teachers of Karachi University.
He said that MQM London workers were being arrested and several of them were kept at Central Jail.
