Indian police resort heavy teargas shelling on protestors in IHK

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Indian police resorted heavy teargas shelling to disperse the peaceful protesters at Lal Chowk area of Srinagar in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) on Saturday.
Protest demonstrations erupted after the police arrested a youth from Maisuma area of Srinagar, KMS reported.
Soon after the arrest of the youth, the entire area of Maisuma including Mandir Bagh and Gowkadal witnessed massive protests.
Locals told mediamen that the police fired teargas shells and pellets on the protesting youth, triggering fierce clashes between the protesters and the policemen.
