Government decides to increase price of petrol by Rs. 1.50


ISLAMABAD: Federal government announced to increase price of petrol by Rs. 1.50 per liter while prices of kerosene and high octane will remain at same without any rise.

 

While talking to media here at today (Thursday) federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar said that a summary had been moved to government by OGRA to increase the prices of petroleum products but government decided to increase the  prices of diesel and petrol only.

 

Ishaq Dar added that Rs. 1.40 per liter is being increased by government in diesel price after that Rs. 72.52 will be the new price of diesel however, kerosene and high octane prices will remain the same.

 

It is also worthy to mention here that OGRA proposed government to raise the prices of petroleum products by Rs. 4.88 per liter.
