ISLAMABAD: The MMA has taken back the election ticket from its candidate in Swat and has decided to support former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif instead, reported.

JUI-F’s Maulana Hujjatullah was contesting the election on the MMA’s ticket from NA-3.

The MMA’s leadership has written a letter to the returning officer, informing him about the withdrawal of the ticket. They also requested the RO not to issue the MMA’s election symbol to Hujjatullah.

However, challenging the party’s decision, Hujjatullah has decided to contest the election as an independent candidate.
