NEW DELHI – The Indian Opposition Congress today launched a sarcasticattack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), celebrating April’s Fools Dayas ‘Jumla Divas’.

The Congress took to Twitter to attack the BJP with a series of picturesand a spoof news video, calling the promises made by the party in power’jumlas’.

Mocking the promise made by Narendra Modi during his campaign before the2014 Lok Sabha polls when he said he would bring back black money locatedin foreign countries, the video shared on the Congress’s timeline onTwitter says that Rs 15 lakh has been deposited in the account of everyIndian citizen.

Running #HappyJumlaDivas, the Congress tweeted, “An amount of INR15,00,000.00 has been CREDITED to your A/C on 01/04/2018 towards Acche Din.Ref No. link. Total Avail.bal INR 0.00.”

The video also says that India has become corruption-free postdemonetisation, following which, it lauds Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi for’swiping clean’ the Punjab National Bank as part of the Swachch BharatAbhiyaan.

“(Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi) have been awarded a foreign trip (for their’feat’),” the video says.
