Panama Case: New or old bench to decide the fate of PM after Judicial Commission

ISLAMABAD: The Panama Papers case decision was announced on Thursday with a split judgement of 3-2 apparently in favor of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The five-member bench which carried off the Panama case hearing on Thursday, will be terminated after the formation of Joint Investigation Team, according to latest reports.
Reports say that a new bench will be formed for the second hearing of the case. However, judges who gave a dissenting note in the case will apparently not be a part of the new bench.
JIT will present its first investigative report to the new bench.
The new bench will be comprised of two members and the verdict will be declared in 60 days in all likelihood, according to reports.
Supreme Court on Thursday, ordered for the formation of a JIT to further investigate the Panama case. The joint investigation team will consist of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), State Bank of Pakistan, Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence and will be headed by a director-general level FIA officer.
A split judgment regarding the Panama case was announced by the Supreme Court on Thursday, which is 3-2 among the bench.
