Pakistan, Azerbaijan strategic partners in science and technology fields

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman Thursday said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan are strategic partners in promotion of education, science and technology among the youth of their two countries.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan are also partners in promoting peace and development with togetherness, brotherly fraternity and deep understanding of each other through dialogue and partnership, he added.
Baligh ur Rehman expressed these views while speaking as chief guest on the occasion of "Eid Gifts and Qurbani Ceremony" organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Pakistan and Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum on behalf of Mehriban Aliyeva (Hilal-i-Pakistan) First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO for the orphan children of Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, Rawalpindi, a press release issued by the Embassy of Azerbaijan here said.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Ali Alizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan greeted the participants and children on behalf of First Lady and people of Azerbaijan on Eid-ul- Azha.
He spoke about ties and shared values of two nations that bring the Muslims of Azerbaijan and Pakistan together.
Ali Alizada briefed participants of the event on activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Azerbaijan and other countries of the world.
He noted that the foundation had implemented number of healthcare, education and humanitarian projects in all districts of Pakistan as well.
He acknowledged efforts of Mian Muhammad Siddique, President, Anjuman Faizul Islam and Mohammad Asif Noor, President of Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum and Goodwill Ambassador of Sweet Homes for their tireless support to all initiatives of Heydar Aliyev foundation in Pakistan.
Addressing audience Mian Muhammad Siddique, President Anjuman Faizul Islam shed light on the work of Anjuman Faizul Islam as currently the orphan house is providing boarding, lodging and school facility to the students from different parts of the country.
There is a lot of support that is necessary and required however Mian Muhammad Siddique thanked Mehriban Aliyeva for her generosity and efforts for supporting the children.
Muhammad Asif Noor, President, Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum also gave his remarks about making the bridge between Pakistan and Azerbaijan through taking various steps in enhancing partnerships.
He said that Azerbaijan has been a great friend of Pakistan and Mehriban Aliyeva is a lady having heart made of gold as she has always been generous and continued working for spreading happiness amongst those who are underprivileged.
Children of Anjuman Faizul Islam presented beautiful cultural show and different programs and at the end the gifts were distributed amongst the children.
The function was also attended by parliamentarians, civil society activists, leading media representatives and other prominent people from all walks of life.
