Muttahida MajlisAmal (MMA) restored

KARACHI: Religious parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazl (JUI-F), Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan- Noorani (JUP-N) and others announced to restored Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), an alliance that had formed provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2002.

“We have decided to completely restore Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal,” announced Shah Owais Noorani after the religious parties’ leaders’ meeting at his residence in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Sirajul Haq, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman, JUP-N Chief Shah Owais Noorani, Jamiat Ahle Hadees President Alama Sajid Mir, Islami Tahreek Pakistan leader Alama Sajid Naqvi and others.

The meeting deliberated the recommendations of steering committee formed in Lahore. “Next meeting will be held in Balochistan,” he further informed.

Flanked by Maulana Fazlu Rehman, Sirajul Haq and others, Noorani said that the alliance has completely restored with Ulema wing.

A committee has been setup to prepare manifesto for next elections, he further said.

The names of President, general Secretary and other portfolio will announced after the next meeting, said Noorani.
