Ishaq Dar to be brought back in Pakistan via Interpol: Report

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to bring back Finance Minister Ishaq Dar with the help of the Interpol, Geo News has reported.
NAB will issue a red warrant for Senator Ishaq Dar, anotification issued by the accountability department said.
An executive board meeting, chaired by Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal, decided to bring Dar back to Pakistan with the help of the Interpol.
The statement added that Dar who is receiving medical treatment in London has already been declared a proclaimed offender by the accountability court which is heating a corruption reference against him.
"Dar is suffering from no such ailment that cannot be treated in Pakistan," the NAB notification said.
During Thursday's hearing on Dar's corruption reference, the accountability court was presented with details of the accused's bank accounts.
Dar, a serving senator, is accused of possessing assets disproportionate to his declared sources of income. The case was filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in light of the Supreme Court's July 28 verdict in the Panama Papers case.
Dar has been declared a proclaimed offender in the case owing to his continuous absence from the proceedings owing to the medical treatment in London.
