Iraq forces attack ISIS-held Mosul airport

AL-BUSEIF: (APP) Iraqi forces backed by jets, drones and gunships attacked Mosul airport Thursday, as part of renewed push on the jihadist-held west bank of the city, AFP reporters said.
Forces including federal police and the interior ministry's elite Rapid Response moved in convoys towards the disused airport, which lies on the southern approach to Mosul and is still held by the Islamic State group.
