APHC strongly condemns continued house arrest of Gilani

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has strongly denounced the continued house arrest of its Chairman Syed Ali Gilani.

In a statement in Srinagar on Saturday, the APHC termed the autocratic and egoistic attitude of the puppet rulers as condemnable.

It said Syed Ali Gilani is not being allowed to offer Friday prayers for the last so many years.

The statement said that the PDP-BJP regime has turned occupied Kashmir virtually into a big jail as more than six hundred Hurriyet leaders and activists are languishing in different jails.

Meanwhile, two Indian policemen were injured when some unknown persons lobbed a grenade on a police party in Nowgam area in Srinagar.

On the other hand, a Kashmiri youth, Muhammad Rafiq Shah was acquitted by a Delhi court after over 11 years of illegal detention in a case of Delhi bomb blasts.

He was acquitted after producing official records of Kashmir University as he was present in his classroom on the day of explosions.
