British Pakistani couple could face death penalty in Pakistan for 25 kg heroine smuggling attempt to UK

ISLAMABAD – British Pakistani couple could face death penalty in Pakistanfor 25 kg heroine smuggling attempt to UK.

British Pakistani couple could face the death penalty after it’s claimedthey attempted to smuggle £2m ($2.5m) worth of heroin out of Pakistan.

Mohammed Tahir Ayaz, 26 and wife Ikra Hussain, 20 were both named byauthorities in Pakistan after they were arrested at Sialkot internationalairport.

They were found to have around 25 kilograms of ‘fine quality heroin’ whichhad been hidden in women’s clothing. The heroin was split in differentpackages and then divided between the clothes.

They were removed from their luggage and put in to blue carrier bags to beweighed.

The couple then allegedly admitted to security officials that they wereplanning on taking the drugs to the UK from Pakistan, before handing themover to the Anti Narcotics Force who are looking in to the incident.
