WASHINGTON – A group of US lawmakers have expressed grave concern over thesituation in occupied Kashmir, urging Indian government to restorecommunications and allow media to access the territory.
The US Congressmen in a letter to the American envoys in New Delhi andIslamabad urged them to facilitate connections between Kashmiri-Americansand their family members in Jammu and Kashmir.
They also urged them to insist on Indian government to restorecommunications in Jammu and Kashmir and allow media to access the region.
Signatories to the letter are lawmakers Ilhan Omar, Raul M Grijalva, AndyLevin, James P McGovern, Ted Lieu, Donald Beyer and Alan Lowenthal.
