SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, telecom sector has suffered a loss of morethan ninety crore rupees as lockdown in Kashmir valley continues on 41stconsecutive day, on Saturday.
Mobile Internet services have been snapped and calling has also been barredacross occupied Kashmir since August 05 when Narendra Modi-led Indiangovernment announced repeal of special status of the territory.
The official of a telecom company said it would become difficult for theoperators to continue their services, if Indian government did not lift therestrictions on mobile services and data in occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir valley remains under strict military siege on 41stday, today, as hundreds of thousands of Indian troops deployed in everynook and corner continue to keep millions of people confined to their homes.
The humanitarian crisis in the Kashmir valley is deepening further as theresidents are facing severe shortage of basic necessities like food stuff,milk and life-saving medicines.
