Pakistani dossier against India at the top UN forum unnerved Indian diplomats

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani dossier against India at the top UN forum unnervedIndia as it was unable to reject the statements made by the Indianpolitical leaders over Occupied Kashmir endorsing Pakistani stance.

Pakistan’s dossier on Jammu and Kashmir contain the statements made byCongress leader Rahul Gandhi and National Conference (NC) leader OmarAbdullah in the wake of the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir,according to the Pakistani dossier presented at the United Nations HumanRights Council (UNHRC) on Tuesday.

*”It has been 20 days since the people of Jammu and Kashmir had theirfreedom and civil liberties curtailed. Leaders of the Opposition and pressgot a taste of draconian administration and brute force unleashed on peopleof Jammu and Kashmir when we tried to visit Srinagar,”* Rahul Gandhi hasbeen quoted as saying in the document that is said to be the Pakistanidossier.

Similarly, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah has beenquoted as saying, *”GoI’s [Government of India] unilateral and shockingdecision will have far-reaching and dangerous consequences. This is anaggression against Kashmiris. The decision are unilateral, illegal andunconstitutional. A long and tough battle lies ahead. We are ready.”*
