India frustrated at Pakistan Foreign Minister strong speech at the top World body

ISLAMABAD – India has frustrating response to Pakistan Foreign Ministerspeech at the top World Forum and called it a bunch of lies.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday raked up theOccupied Jammu and Kashmir issue at the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC)and exposed Indian atrocities on Occupied Kashmir during his 15-minute longspeech before the international community, to which India called a bunch oflies.

During his address, the Pakistani minister exposed Indian actions about thesituation in Kashmir and drew attention of UNHRC members. Qureshi madeclaims about the restrictions imposed on the civilians in the region anddetention of political leaders by Indian government.

“Today, I have knocked on the doors of the Human Rights Council, therepository of the world’s conscience on human rights, to seek justice andrespect for the people of Kashmir,” Qureshi said while addressing the 42ndsession of UNHRC.

“For the last six weeks, over 8 million Kashmiris, already in the clutchesof decades-long Indian oppression, have been virtually caged by an illegalmilitary occupation – that has swelled in ranks, within days, from 700,000to nearly a million troops,” Qureshi claimed.

The Pakistani minister leveled allegations and made claims about thesituation prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir and went on to claim that Kashmirhad been converted into world’s “largest prison”. Qureshi continued withhis country’s tirade against India and claimed that people in the regionare being denied access to basic amenities, including medicines. Qureshialso talked about detention of political leaders in Kashmir and claimedthat people have been “caged” in Kashmir over the past six weeks
