CAIRO – Iran-supported Shiite militias in Syrialink have launched severalrockets toward Israel link,but they failed to strike the Israeli territory, the Israellink Defense Forces (IDF)said on Monday.
“A number of rockets were fired fromlink #Syria toward #Israelovernight, all link failingto hit Israeli territory,” the IDF tweeted.
The IDF added that the rockets were launched by the militias operatingunder the command of the Iranian Quds Force, a unit of the nation’sRevolutionary Guards.
“We hold the Syrianlink regimeresponsible for events taking place in Syrialink,” the IDF stressed.
Israel considers Iran link,its military, and Tehran-backed Lebanese movement Hezbollah, which is alsofighting in Syrialink alongsidethe forces of President Bashar Assad, to be its main rivals in the region.
Tehran link maintainsthat it has only its advisers in the Arablink republic, who are present there at therequest of the Syrian linkgovernment link,while Israel linkregular attacks on Syrialink have no legal basis.
