ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Chief of Army StaffQamar Javed Bajwa had met the businessmen after his permission.
Speaking to senior journalists and analysts in Islamabad on Wednesday, theprime minister acknowledged that inflation and unemployment remain a bigproblem which his government is trying to resolve.
Earlier this month, a delegation of at least 20 businessmen, comprisingheads of various private companies, called on army chief General QamarJaved Bajwa at the General Headquarters to inform the top general of theeconomic crisis being faced by the country.

“The meetings with the army chief was aimed at addressing the burningissues being faced by the business community in the country,” said abusiness leader, adding that uncertainty, lack of clarity in governmentpolicies, negative growth in large scale manufacturing were the key issuesthat were discussed on the occasion.
