ISLAMABAD – At the United Nations, Pakistan says India’s false andmalevolent claims of having destroyed three alleged camps across the Lineof Control (LoC) in the disputed Kashmir region were proved to be lied whenPakistan took foreign diplomats to the LoC yesterday.
Pakistan outgoing Ambassador to UN Maleeha Lodhi said this during a meetingwith the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo inNew York.
She said that the Indian High Commission in Islamabad was formally invitedto join the trip, however, they did not take up the offer, sensing thattheir claims would be exposed.
Ambassador Lodhi said that India’s illegal move on August 5 had triggeredmultiple crises in the region and urged the UN to play its role for apeaceful settlement of the decades-old Kashmir dispute.

The outgoing envoy also dismissed India’s claims of normalcy havingreturned to occupied Kashmir, as “yet another Indian fallacy”, saying ithas been debunked by the international media and human rights organizations.
