Not Deal but Dheel given, NAB Chairman confusing statement stirs a new controversy

KARACHI – Not Deal but ‘Dheel’, NAB Chairman confusing statement stirs anew controversy over the relaxation for the corrupt people.NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice Retd Javed Iqbal on Wednesdaysaid that no deal was made, they just gave a bit “dheel” (relaxation) tothe corrupt people, GNN reported.

While addressing to a press conference, Chairman NAB said that time ofreward and punishment is determined and that the anti-corruption watchdoghas only given relaxation and not signed any deal. We believe inaccountability for all policy, he asserted.

NAB Chairman said that those people who used to think that they would neverasked by anyone were now in the jails. “There is accountability for all andthey would to maximum extent if anybody became hurdle in the way ofaccountability,” said NAB Chairman Justice retired Javed Iqbal.

The chairman said housing societies and builders who loot people’s moneycannot protect themselves from NAB. He further urged the general masses tocooperate with the accountability watchdog to free Pakistan from corruption.

Meanwhile, Justice (r) Javed Iqbal revealed that Rs4 billion has beenrecovered from Sindh in only four months.
