In a positive development, Pakistan seek 4 billion mega deal with top Chinese company

ISLAMABAD – A Chinese Company Shanghai Electric will invest an amount offour billion dollars at Thar Coal block one and will establish two powerplants of 1320 megawatt of electricity there.

A seven-member delegation of Shanghai Electric called on Sindh ChiefMinister Syed Murad Ali Shah at Chief Minister’s House in Karachi today anddiscussed the project.

Shanghai Electric is carrying out mining and will establish two powerprojects at Thar coal block one.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that financial close ofthe project will be undertaken by the end of this year.
