ISLAMABAD: Dutch Human Rights Ambassador Dr Bahia Tahzib-Lie, along withAmbassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan Wouter Plomp, called on Advisorto Prime Minister Abdul Razzaq Dawood on Monday.
Commerce Secretary Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera and senior officials of theMinistry of Commerce were also among the attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bahia Tahzib-Lie expressed satisfaction overthe progress made by Pakistan to stabilise the economy and assured of herfull cooperation to enhance bilateral trade and investment relationsbetween the two countries.
Envoy Wouter Plomp said that Dutch companies were interested in themaritime and agriculture sectors of Pakistan, noting that recently, a Dutch(dairy) company, FrieslandCampina, invested $446 million in Pakistan’sEngro Corporation.
“Bringing international companies in Pakistan will help attract moreforeign direct investment in the country,” he remarked.
