PM Imran Khan held important meetings in Karachi

KARACHI – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said resolution of Karachi’sproblems is responsibility of the Sindh Government, but the FederalGovernment is too contributing from its own resources to resolve theseissues in view of public welfare.

He was talking to PTI members of the Sindh Assembly in Karachi today.

Imran Khan has said federal government is fully aware of water, transport,waste management and other issues being faced by the residents of Karachi.

He said Karachi is economic hub of Pakistan, but it is unfortunate that thepeople and issues of the metropolitan were ignored in the past.

The Prime Minister said local government system will be helpful inresolution of Karachi’s problems.

He said his government inherited the current account deficit of thehistory, but now economic situation has improved a lot.

He said poor economic condition of Sindh is a result of corruption.

Imran Khan directed the federal ministers to intensify their interactionswith lawmakers hailing from Karachi.

Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtiyar briefed members of the Sindh Assemblyabout the development projects being completed and to be accomplished bythe Federal Government.

Governor Sindh, on behalf of the federation, assured that K-4 project willbe completed at all costs.

The lawmakers also apprised the Prime Minister about various problems oftheir respective constituencies.
