NEW DELHI – Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat briefed Defence MinisterRajnath Singh about the situation at Line of Control in Kupwara (Jammu andKashmir), sources told India TV News.
They said that after briefing Defence Minister, General Rawat told him thatretaliatory action taken by the Indian Army has resulted in a befittingreply to Pakistan after its ceasefire violation.
Indian Army claimed to target camps in Azad-Kashmir after two soldiers werekilled in Tangdhar Sector in Kupwara.
Four terror launch pads in Neelam valley (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) havebeen targeted/destroyed, Indian Army claimed.
As per reports, 4-5 Pakistan Army soldiers have been killed, iit reported.
“Indian forces caused heavy damages and casualty to Pakistan after twoIndian soldiers were killed in retaliatory firs by Pakistan army inTangdhar sector.” news agency ANI reported quoting Indian army spokespersonas saying.
Indian army has used artillery guns to target the camps.
On the other hand Pakistan has killed 9 Indian soldiers in retaliatoryfiring. They also claimed that 1 Pakistan Army soldier and 3 Pakistanicivilians died in the exchange of fire.
Earlier in the day, two Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistan troopsalong the Line of control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’sKupwara district, police said on Sunday.
