ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has reached Riyadh on a day-longvisit to Saudi Arabia.
Governor Riyadh Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Minister ofState and National Security Advisor Dr Musaad bin Mohammed Al Aibanwelcomed the Prime Minister at Royal terminal of the King Khalid AirportRiyadh.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Prime Minister’s SpecialAssistant on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari are accompanying thePrime Minister.
Pakistan Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Raja Ali Ijaz, Saudi officials andother officers of the Pakistan Embassey were also present at the airport toreceive the Prime Minister and his delegation.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit is part of his initiative for peace andsecurity in the region, following his visit to Iran.
The Prime Minister will confer with the Saudi leadership in light of hisrecent consultations with other leaders. Bilateral ties and other regionaldevelopments would also form part of the discussions.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are bound in a fraternal relationship marked bymutual trust and understanding, close cooperation, and an abiding traditionof supporting each other.
This is Prime Minister Imran Khan’s third visit to Saudi Arabia this year.From the Saudi side, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman paid a state visit toPakistan in February this year.
