ISLAMABAD – Justice Qazi Faiz Esa resubmits reply in Supreme JudicialCouncil, serious concerns have been raised by the Apex Judge.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa again submits the reply in the the Supreme JudicialCouncil (SJC), which is hearing the presidential reference. Justice QaziFaez Isa has once again cast doubt on the impartiality of the SupremeJudicial Council in his 17-page rejoinder to the council’s reply on apetition challenging the presidential reference against the Supreme Courtjudge.
The judge expressed serious concern over the engagement of the AttorneyGeneral of Pakistan (AGP) by the council to submit its reply in the apexcourt last week.
He raised concerns over attorney-general submitting the reply for thecouncil in the top court. He has claimed that the statement filed by theattorney-general on behalf of the Supreme Judicial Council has been “filedwithout due authorisation” and in violation of Article 100 of theConstitution.
