ISLAMABAD – Indian Military resort to unprovoked fire at LoC, Atleast 16Pakistanis seriously injured.
Pakistan strongly condemned the latest unprovoked ceasefire violations byIndian occupation forces along the Line of Control. Indian Deputy HighCommissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia was summoned again to Foreign Office inIslamabad on Friday.
Director General South Asia Dr. Mohammad Faisal lodged strong protest overthe Indian ceasefire violations in Sharda, Nezapir, Satwal and BagsarSectors of the LoC yesterday.
Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by Indian Army in ShardaSector, a ten-year old child Faizan embraced shahadat while sixteen otherinnocent civilians, including six children and two ladies, sustainedserious injuries.
In addition to that, two got injured including a lady in Nezapir, three,including a child and a lady in Satwal Sector, and one other in Bagsarsector in the Indian firing.
The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working boundary havecontinuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire,heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues.
The deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorableand contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarianlaws.
The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace andsecurity and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.
The Director General urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefirearrangement; investigate these and other incidents of ceasefire violations,instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spiritand maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary.
He said the Indian side should permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role asper the UN Security Council resolutions.
