Pakistan secures big technology assisted mega project from government of Japan

ISLAMABAD – The Government of Japan has extended assistance to PakistanCustoms and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for establishment of three newstate of the art Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Containers ScanningTerminals at East and West Warf in Karachi Port and Port Bin Qasim.

Under the Japanese grant assistance, Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) implemented “The Project for Security Improvement in Karachi Portand Port Bin Oasim” amount of JPY 1.877 billion (approximately Rs2.78billion), Japan Embassy here announced.

Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Kuninori Matsuda and FBR Chairman SyedMuhammad Shabbar Zaidi inaugurated newly established NII ContainersScanning Terminal at East Warf at Karachi Port.
