Turkish and American Presidents hold important telephone call

ISLAMABAD – Turkey and the United States have discussed the planned safezone east of the Euphrates River in Syria.

During a telephonic conversation with US counterpart Donald Trump, TurkishPresident Recep Tayyep Erdogan expressed his concern about the failure ofU.S. military and security officials to implement the agreement between thetwo countries.

Both the countries agreed in August to establish a zone in northeast Syriaalong the border with Turkey to settle up to 2 million Syrian refugees.Turkey currently hosts 3.6 million Syrian refugees.
